# Delete Boundary

> Delete a boundary

```
DELETE /openapi/memorylake/api/v3/boundaries/{id}
```

Deletes a boundary. Only the boundary is removed: the projects, actors, agents and memories it covered are not touched.

Deleting a boundary that does not exist, or was already deleted, also returns `200`, so a repeated delete is safe to retry.

<Note>
  **Permission required:** `boundary:delete`
</Note>

<Warning>
  Integrations that pass this boundary's ID — Memory Router calls with `?boundary_id=`, or MCP clients authorized to it — will no longer find it.
</Warning>
